Location:
A welcoming, single level beach cottage overlooking a private, sandy, neighborhood beach in Brewster. Panoramic views of Cape Cod Bay are maximized from the open deck and main living space. The beach is less than 100 feet from your door! By day, you can often see Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown at the tip of the Cape, and after you watch the sun set into the water, you will marvel at the stunning afterglow in the sky across the entire Bay.
The beaches in Brewster are spectacular. Brewster beaches boast gentle surf, soft sand, warm water, and changes in appearance every few hours. At low tide, the beach reveals tidal flats and smooth sand bars, great for walking (sturdy enough for baby joggers), friendly pick-up Whiffle Ball games, oyster farms visits, and exploration. Low tide is a great time to relax and read, while kids get busy hunting for hermit crabs, minnows, and other beach creatures found by the bucketful in the clean, warm water tidal pools. At high tide the gentle surf and warm water make for excellent swimming, kayaking, or stand up paddle boarding. Very gradual elevation changes and gentle surf make for an easy water entry and exit for little ones.
Walk or bike to nearby Route 6A (Main Street in Brewster) for a convenience store, book store, bakery, sushi, pizza, ice cream, restaurant choices and the famous Cape Cod Rail Trail bike paths. It’s the ideal family vacation situation!
While staying at the Following Seas cottage (259-B) you have a front row seat to it all!
Outside Living Space:
The property has a sizable irrigated yard where kids can safely play while you relax on the deck. The topline Weber gas grill, is right next to the deck and just around the corner is the enclosed outdoor shower.
There is a small drop-off area at the far end of the lawn, which has room for only 5-6 cars in the private association lot. The elevated yard means you have an unobstructed view of the Bay at all times.
Inside Living Space:
Owners have implemented a major renovation recently. Improvements include:
- Completely redone and redesigned kitchen with island breakfast bar and new lighting. There's a new gas range and all other new appliances.
- The new kitchen includes a new pantry area, a utility closet and a dry bar
- Replaced all common area furniture with new furniture to improve the livability and seating comfort of the two lounge areas and kitchen
- Replaced all windows and doors, including the two entry doors and screen doors
- New Azek(R) outdoor shower
The open concept includes a dining area and a large living room that overlooks the Bay and includes a flat screen TV. A separate TV area with a large flat screen and comfy lounge seating is just off the other side of the kitchen. There are four bedrooms: one with a king, two with queen beds, and one with two sets of bunk beds (linens provided for one set of bunk beds only). You'll have two full baths plus an outdoor shower.
The house offers central air conditioning and heat, high speed Wi-Fi a large and appealing wood floors throughout the house.
