If you could choose the perfect location for your Cape Cod vacation house for a group of up to 12, this just might be it. You have captivating views of picturesque Uncle Seth’s Pond from the house and deck. In Orleans, you can swim and relax at the ocean, bay, or pond. The swimming pond nearby is beautiful Crystal Lake, where you can also picnic and launch kayaks. You’re about a mile from a saltwater beach on Pleasant Bay, an easy drive to famous Nauset Beach on the Atlantic and less than that to Skaket Beach on the bay side, where the sunsets are spectacular.
It’s a short drive to either Orleans Center or Chatham Village for the Cape’s best dining, shopping and entertainment, such as outdoor concerts and the Cape Cod Baseball League. The Orleans Firebirds are right in town and teams in Brewster (Whitecaps), Chatham (Anglers), and Harwich (Mariners) are also nearby.
Bring or rent bikes. You’re not far from the renowned Cape Cod Rail Trail bike path that winds its way through the heart of Orleans. Like a nice hike? You have beautiful trails at nearby Kent's Point, Paw Wah Point and Nickerson State Park. And the 36-hole Captains Golf Course is only a mile away. For a more relaxed golfing experience, try the 9-hole courses nearby – Chatham Seaside Links and Harwich Port Golf Club. And, of course, mini-golf options are plentiful.
Provincetown is an easy 45-minute drive – explore for lunch and shopping or for a whale watching excursion. On the way back, stop at the Truro Vineyards or Wellfleet.
On a warm summer evening you’ll want to fire up the gas grill on the oversized deck and serve up a sumptuous summer feast for exceptionally comfortable outdoor dining – all with water views that never get old. Of course, there’s an outdoor shower to remind you that you’re on the Cape in the summer.
Inside, wait until you experience meal prep in this luxurious, stunning kitchen. Relish the top-line appliances and everything you need, right at your fingertips. It’s the sort of kitchen you may wish you could take home with you.
The open, social kitchen flows into a handsome dining area, and then into the tastefully appointed living room with a smart TV and gas fireplace. There’s also a main level sitting room, with furnishings and imaginative decor presenting the same New England charm as the rest of this attractive home.
The main level master suite features a vaulted ceiling, adding to the sense of light and space. You’ll love the superb king-size bed and romantic gas fireplace. The private full bath en suite has a spa tub and separate step-in shower. There’s another full bathroom on the main level, which includes the full laundry.
The upper level presents three queen bedrooms, one with its own private full bath, making the “Hydrangea Suite” a second master. Another full and very spacious bathroom, complete with a shower and spa tub is shared by the other two queen bedrooms. The “Golden Slumbers” queen bedroom has a décor that lives up to its name. And the “Tropics” queen bedroom conveys more than a hint of an island paradise, which its water view reinforces. There’s a bonus room on the upper level as well, featuring two twin beds, a pull-out sofa, and seating area with large screen TV, making for extremely flexible sleeping arrangements to suit virtually any group configuration.
On the lower level, you’ll find sliders that walk out to the backyard and pond views. Down here, there’s also another TV room, with lounge seating, a kitchenette and full bath with shower.
Additional amenities at this house include central air-conditioning, high-speed wireless internet, and four HDTVs with cable and Netflix access. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and water toys provided.
