Perched overlooking Lower Mill Pond (a "lake" anywhere but Cape Cod),"Pondview" offers a modern vacation experience with serene water views. Lower Mill Pond is a clean fresh water pond that feeds the famous Brewster Grist Mill, located a short walk from the house. This body of water is the final destination for the herring run each spring as they swim upstream from Cape Cod Bay to spawn.
The pond is great for swimming and kayaking. There is very limited public access to the pond so you will feel secluded and peaceful enjoying the property and the pond. Outside you can enjoy a new wood burning fire pit overlooking the pond as well as a water view patio with new outdoor furniture.
Inside the house, the freshly painted walls and new furniture provide pleasant living spaces and thoughtful interior design. The fully equipped kitchen is ready to go for any meal prep. The kitchen is open to the dining area that spills out on to a three-season room that is flooded with natural light and can function as a screened porch. The traditional living room is located just past the dining room and features new couches and décor and the main level TV. There is an office on the main level that can also be used for an additional sleeping space with a sleep sofa (linens not provided). The main level is completed by the primary bedroom with a king bed and luxurious private bathroom, featuring both a step-in shower and a jetted tub. Most of the main level has great water views. of the pond.
Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms each of which has a queen size bed. There is a full bath on the upper level as well. The home is comfortably cooled by central air conditioning on the main level and freestanding units on the upper level for customized climate control. There is cable/smart TV, a SONOS sound system and high speed Wi-Fi.
Head up to Cape Cod Bay and popular Paine’s Creek Beach, just over a mile away! Kate’s Seafood, a famous seasonal haunt is also just up the street for a meal or ice cream. You can also explore the hidden gem of the Punkhorn Parklands just down the street: an 800 acre conservation area with miles and miles of hiking trails through pristine wooded areas and ponds.
Modern accommodations in a rural pond front setting provide a sensual balance of creature comforts and natural beauty.
