Owner family plans have changed, which opens up summer weeks for 2024 rentals. Dune Road is an unpaved quiet road that runs parallel to the beach. The house sits on a private treed lot with fantastic views of the water. There is a small private path from the back yard to the sandy neighborhood beach. The yard is very private. There are a lot of trees in the front where the children can play in the shade when they are not on the beach. Most rooms in the house have water views.
The living room is front to back with an adjoining kitchen. The door from the kitchen leads to a small patio area where the gas grill is located. Just around the corner, is another patio area with a dining table and chairs.
It is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath house. Two of the bedrooms are on the first floor, one has a queen. The other has two twins as well as an adjacent small sitting area. This is a great room for anyone (grandparents?) who enjoys a little space and privacy or respite from maybe a little too much family togetherness. . Also important for some guests -- no stairs to climb. These two bedrooms share a full bath with a step-in shower.
The primary bedroom is on the upper level (king) with a huge walk-in closet that even has a small window for natural light and ventilation. Many guests with infants use this room as the nursery. There is an oversized slider with a small deck off the primary bedroom. What a view to wake up to each morning! The other bedroom has two twins. These two bedrooms share a full bath with a shower and separate large tub.
Air conditioning is provided by a full size split unit in the primary bedroom plus window units in the upper level twin bedroom and the main level queen. Although it does not have its own air conditioner per se, the main level twin bedroom can benefit from a second full size split unit located in the living room.
The location is extremely convenient. You can walk or bike up to Route 6A in short order and find a book store, pizza, bakery, sushi, as well as a Cumberland Farms convenience store and several excellent restaurant options, both casual family and finer dining. Major grocery shopping is about a 10-15 minute drive into either Orleans or East Harwich.
Another plus: On your bike, you are very close to the Cape bike trails.
