If your group of up to four likes spending time on Main Street in Chatham Village, you’ll want to consider this unique retro style cottage. From here, you’ll walk only two short blocks to all the restaurants, shops, galleries, concerts, and Cape League baseball that Chatham is famous for.
It’s also just a minute or two walk to Little Mill Pond, where you can launch a kayak and take a tour of the scenic saltwater pond and admire all the boats moored there. You can walk 12 minutes or bike less than five to popular Oyster Pond Beach, where the swimming is great, especially for kids. And it’s only a three-minute drive (five minute bike ride) to Lighthouse Beach on Main Street, which most people say is Chatham’s best beach.
Inside the house, you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported back to the 1950’s thanks to the mid-century modern style of virtually everything from the living room couch, chairs and coffee table, to the chrome pedestal base dining table with faux leather (vinyl) chairs – even the push button light switches! Check out the kitchen and its period-accurate appliances, and classic farm house sink with wash board. Nothing here is old – it just looks that way!
In fact, everything is quite shiny new, as the house was recently renovated. The owner simply elected to do the makeover in the nostalgic style of a vintage Americana, long gone era.
Rest assured, all your creature comforts are in place. There’s a microwave, high speed Wi-Fi, cable/smart TV and air conditioning window units for summer cooling.
Besides the kitchen and dining area, the home has two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed, the other with twins.
There is one shared full bath with a combination tub and shower.
The home also has a three-season room with wicker furniture and matching seat cushions in striking period aqua blue. You can also choose to dine outdoors. Just fire up the gas grill and serve meals on the picnic table in the sizeable, private back yard.
Please enter your travel dates in the top right corner of this page for up-to-date pricing. This property has a seven-night minimum during the peak season. As is customary in vacation rentals there are additional fees to the rates listed. Those fees include a reservation fee and a non-refundable Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) fee totaling $195. In addition, there are state and local taxes applied to all reservations less than 31 days in length that total 14.45%.
