Location
It’s a vintage two-story vacation home with wonderful views of Cape Cod Bay from practically every room, the front yard and especially from the second level deck.
The path to the private neighborhood beach is directly across an unpaved cart road in front of the house. It’s no more than 150 feet to the beach. The water can come right up to the stone revetment at extreme high tide covering most if not all of the beach for a couple of hours. However, you can still swim at high tide even if you cannot sit on the beach for a little while. The beach immediately in front of the house across the road is private to that property only. The neighborhood beach is adjacent and to the west. You can walk anywhere on the beach, private or not, including straight out for more than a mile at extreme low tide.
The location is extremely convenient. You can walk or bike up to Route 6A and find a book store, liquor store, pizza, sushi, bakery, sports bar, casual family dining, and a Cumberland Farms. Major grocery shopping is a 10–15 minute drive into either Orleans or E. Harwich. Another plus: On your bike, you are just minutes away from the Cape bike trails.
Outside Living Space
There is a good size level yard for a game of whiffle ball. A table and chairs make it a great place to relax to see the water. The outdoor enclosed shower is at the back of the house. The gas grill is on the side of the house.
There is also a deck off the family room on the second level. Again, there is a table and chairs to watch sunset if you do not want to be on the beach for sunset.
Inside Living Space
The main level of the house is home to the very well equipped kitchen with a gas range and large refrigerator. The kitchen flows into the dining area with a water view, then out to the “morning room,” an appealing front-to-back space with seating and a view of the bay.
The family room is on the second floor to take maximum advantage of the view. Here you will find comfortable seating and the TV. Note that the open stairway and spacing of the balusters makes the upper level inadvisable for very young or small children.
From the family room, you will find the door for access to the deck overlooking Cape Cod Bay.
Sleeping Accommodations
The house has 4 bedrooms.
The master bedroom is on the upper level and has a queen size bed. There is an adjacent full bath with a tub/shower.
The other three bedrooms are on the main level: two sets of twins and a full size double. The full bath on this level has a step in shower and this is where you will find the stackable W/D.
