Location
Here’s a classic, yet updated Cape Cod cottage, directly on a perfect sandy, private neighborhood beach. There is 450 feet of beach front, with private access from only 13 cottages including this one. Consequently, the beach is never crowded. Walk 10 minutes or less up to Main Street (Route 6A), where you’ll find everything from a bakery, book store, and liquor store to pizza, sushi, and a Cumberland Farms convenience store. Not to mention a variety of restaurants. Major grocery shopping is a 10–15 minute drive into either Orleans or E. Harwich. The Cape Cod bike path is right at the top of the road.
Outside Living Space
At low tide the water recedes almost entirely, revealing the famous “Brewster Flats” where you can walk straight out for a mile or more. Here, kids of all ages make intriguing discoveries in the tidal pools. Relax on the covered porch with a full view of the beach, where older children can play safely. There’s an enclosed outdoor shower where you can rinse off sand and salt from the beach, and a gas grill. You are living on the beach!
Inside Living Space
The living room has comfy seating with a water view and a wall mounted flat screen TV with cable, so you can enjoy the view and keep tabs on the Red Sox game at the same time! The fully equipped kitchen has granite counters, an apartment size gas range/oven, a full size refrigerator, a toaster oven, microwave and dishwasher. The small full bath with a step-in shower is right off the kitchen.
If you have younger children, one or more can nap inside while you relax on the covered porch with a full, 180-degree view of the beach.
Sleeping Accommodations
There are three bedrooms. The beachfront bedroom has a queen size bed, the middle bedroom has twins, while the back bedroom has a full size double and is home to the stackable washer/dryer. Each bedroom has a window air conditioner.
