Who says there are no hills on Cape Cod? This part of Yarmouth Port has plenty of them, and this charming property is perched atop one, affording an extraordinary view of nearby Mill Creek and Sandy Neck and Barnstable Harbor in the distance. Be sure to see and take photos of two picturesque points of interest in this upscale north shore neighborhood – the classic thatched roof barn and the one lane Keveney bridge. You might try your luck fishing off the bridge as well.
This location has many other benefits. Launch the owner provided kayaks in Mill Creek, only a quarter of a mile away, where there is also a small swimmable beach. The nearby bike path means you can pedal your way to the many local attractions. Nearby Barnstable Village beckons, with intriguing shops and restaurants. Speaking of restaurants, you might try one or all of these outstanding eateries, each less than a mile from the house:
- Inaho Japanese
- Grill 43
- The Lighthouse Keeper’s Pantry
At this property you’ll treasure the outdoor living space. Besides the deck and covered porch, you have a large brick patio. It’s begging you to fire up the gas grill and dine al fresco. There’s also the obligatory enclosed outdoor shower for rinsing off sand and salt after your day at the beach.
Moving inside, you’re struck by the bright and cheery open floor plan, beginning with the quite stunning kitchen, which is well equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare meals with ease. The large center island gives you more than ample counter space and has stool seating for four. One of two dining areas is right off the kitchen, as is an appealing lounge with one of the most colorful, imaginative area rugs you’ve ever seen. A slider here takes you out to the deck and patio. A separate fireplace lounge adjoins the more formal dining area, giving you many options for attractive gathering places on the main level.
At the top of the stairs on level two you’ll find yet another lounge area as well as all four of this home’s bedrooms.
There’s a king master with a private full bath, as well as a second master with a queen size bed and private full bath.
Bedroom number three has another queen and there are comfy twins in the fourth bedroom. These two bedrooms share the third full bath. The house has two half baths, one on the main level and one in the third level observatory.
The third level observatory makes this property something truly special. Not only does it afford unusually elevated and spectacular views of the surrounding terrain and water, it houses an upscale game room with a classic sock pocket billiard table, foosball and air hockey tables and more.
This exquisite vacation home also offers central air conditioning, Smart/Apple TV and high-speed Wi-Fi.
