As you arrive at the main house on the property, you are immediately entranced by the captivating marsh and Nantucket Sound views. Perched on a hill above the Sound, the property provides dynamic natural scenery. Step inside the newly constructed main house and shifts from exterior appeal to a modern open concept living space. With soaring nine foot ceilings and contemporary coastal décor, the property offers a serene and well thought out environment. The main living area is open to both the large dining table (seats 10) and the extraordinary kitchen. The kitchen is complete with top-of-the line appliances and features. There’s even a wet bar with a wine fridge!
Likely one of the most popular destinations on the main level is the expansive deck just off the living room and kitchen. There is a screened porch along with a traditional al fresco section of the deck. The backdrop is of course the Cockle Cove marsh and Nantucket Sound. The first floor also consists of a primary suite with a King bed and private bath. The washer/dryer and powder room complete the main level.
The upper level has two identical rooms, both with King beds, a day bed plus trundle and each with a private bath. There’s also a small desk area on the landing.
As you head down to the guest cottage, you’ll pass the fire pit as well as the new hot tub under the deck of the main house also with marsh views. At the guest house, you’ll find a fully renovated property with a kitchenette (no stove or oven), living/dining area and main level bedroom. There is a full bath here as well.
Upstairs in the loft is extra sleeping space or perhaps a work area. The guest house has a spacious deck as well with water and marsh views.
Beach days are a breeze as you walk 1000 feet to Cockle Cove Beach on Nantucket Sound. Beach chairs are provided along with kayaks if you are so inclined. Head to Chatham Village or Harwich Port center in about 10 minutes by car for eclectic dining and shopping. Don’t forget the bikes! The Old Colony Rail Trail is under a mile from the house. Come enjoy one-of-a-kind accommodations in Chatham!
