You’ll love the location of this property. It’s only a six-minute drive to famous Nauset Beach, an amazing miles-long stretch of beautiful sand directly on the Atlantic Ocean. You can easily walk about a half mile to East Orleans Village, where you’ll find Smitty’s Ice Cream Barn and discover Nauset Farms Market with its delightful deli sandwiches, cut-to-order meats, fresh produce and tempting baked goods.
Even closer to the house, you can walk down Barley Neck Road to Meetinghouse Pond, a saltwater inlet ideal for kayaking and swimming off the jetty. The owner thoughtfully provides three kayaks for guest use. You can also launch a small boat in the pond. Boat tours are available from here.
Back at the house, you’ll no doubt spend much of your time in the screened, three-season room, overlooking the carefully maintained yard and gardens. There’s comfy seating here as well as a dining table where you’ll likely serve most meals.
The acre-plus lot is surrounded by protected conservation lands, assuring privacy, peace and quiet. An enclosed outdoor shower and gas grill serve to enhance your outdoor summer living experience.
Built in 1920 and fully renovated in 2012, this classic Cape home offers 2600 square feet of tastefully appointed interior living space for your group of up to 10. There are two separate living/family rooms, each with plenty of comfy lounge seating, one with a large wall mounted TV. The appealing dining area is just off the kitchen and adjoins one of the lounge areas.
The fully outfitted, radiant kitchen features a large two level island with high boy seating for two. The updated appliances are stainless steel and the ample counters are granite. The main level also has an office area with desk and a pull out couch with a small TV. The laundry is also on the main level plus another full bath.
The sleeping accommodations include the master suite on the main level. It has a big king size bed and private full bath with a shower plus soaking tub. It also has a wall mounted TV and its own air conditioning mini-split unit for customized climate control. The vaulted ceiling adds to the sense of space and light.
There’s another bedroom on the main level with a full size double bed with a private half bath in hall.
The upper level offers two bedrooms. One has bunk beds as well as a separate full-size double. There are two twins in the other upper-level bedroom. These two bedrooms share a hallway bath with combo tub/shower. The home features central air conditioning, smart TV, high speed Wi-Fi and many appealing features and furnishings.
There’s also a game room in the lower level with an air hockey game.
